Set in the backdrop of the Spanish War, For Whom the Bell Tolls is one of the Ernest Hemingway's most notable war stories. The protagonist, Robert Jordan, an American war volunteer, is given the task of aligning with a Spanish guerilla unit and blowing up a bridge. While executing his task, he falls in love with a woman called Maria and develops animosity toward the leader of the camp. What will be the fate of his love?
